To allow Vista to respond to pings without disabling the entire firewall, follow these steps:

- Enter: netsh firewall set icmpsetting 8 enable
When you create a header or footer, Word automatically uses the same header or footer throughout the entire document. To create a different header or footer for part of a document, you’ll need to divide the document into sections, and then break the connection between the header or footer in the current section and the previous one.
To do this, follow the instructions below:
- Insert your section breaks.
- Click anywhere in the section of your document for which you want to create a different header or footer.
- In Word 2007, select the
Insert tab. In earlier versions of Word, open the View menu.
- In Word 2007, select either
Header or Footer, and then Edit Header or Edit Footer. In earlier versions of Word, select Header and Footer.
- If necessary, move to the header or footer you want to change.
- On the
Header and Footer toolbar, click the Link to Previous icon. (You may hover over each icon to see its name.)
- Change the existing header or footer, or create a new one for this section.
Word automatically makes the same changes to the headers or footers for all subsequent sections. To create a different header or footer for a subsequent section, repeat the steps above.
1. Click on the Start Button and go to the Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel search box, search for “Disable UAC“.
3. Click on Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off.
4. Uncheck Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.
5. Click OK.
6. Done.
1. While IE7 is running, click on Tools and select Internet Options.
2. On the General tab under the Tabs section hit Settings.
3. Under the When a pop-up is encountered section, select Always open pop-ups in a new tab. I also like using the Let Internet Explorer decide how pop-ups should open option because of some web sites I visit.
4. Hit OK and you are finished.
