Google Earth for OSX bug

Currently GE for OSX has a bug that does not allow one to enter proxy server credientials into its login window as you cannot click on it.

This will only happen if you’re working within a proxy server environment and your credentials have not been entered.

You can get around this by clicking ‘proxy server requires password’ checkbox and then entering in your credientials within the Proxies tab under Systems Preferences > Network.

Windows: Drive share in the wrong zone

When mapping a drive share in Windows it shows up in the wrong zone, for instance my mapped drive kept showing up in the internet zone when it is suppose to be in the trusted zone.

There is a hotfix out for this but you have to request the file from Microsoft.
“Windows Internet Explorer 7 may not correctly recognize the zone to which a network resource belongs when you access the resource by using a mapped drive in Windows Vista or in Windows XP with Service Pack 2″
